“I want to make beautiful things, even if nobody cares, as opposed to ugly things. That’s my intent.”

– Saul Bass

The experience I’ve acquired through my academic and professional experience has provided me with a unique combination of skills, insights, and expertise in the fields of design, business, and technology. This combination of industry experience has provided me with a more broad, distinctive perspective on my work and helped me become a multidisciplinary creative professional with an ability to justify and evaluate different design solutions with a unique approach.

My core competencies are in web, brand, concept, and product design enriched with a great UI/UX design. I aim to provide visually captivating solutions that are intuitive and enjoyable to use and—most importantly—last the test of time.

I usually find myself working in a startup environment; I adore working with people who share their passion and aren’t afraid to learn through their failures.

A little something about me

Let me be your guide to the post-Photoshop era

I’m pretty enthusiastic about the latest design and tech trends, and I follow closely how different digital trends evolve and shape around us.

I love to combine design, code, and usability. I believe in a post-Photoshop era where a design process is not a static phase but a continually evolving, modular process where designers and software developers collaborate seamlessly. I understand both worlds well, and if anything, building bridges between different disciplines within a company is something that I’m really looking forward to.

At the moment, I’m sharpening my knowledge about design systems and frontend architecture. I’m an advocate of a modular design approach, and I always seek open source solutions when it’s feasible.

Studies

Educational background

I have had the pleasure to study in a truly international environment. My studies have prepared me to understand how design and technology can be combined efficiently and working amidst creative geniuses around the world has enhanced my collaboration skills and deepened my knowledge about different cultures, ways of working, and best practices.

I finalized my master’s studies at Aalto University (School of Arts, Design, and Architecture) back in 2020. My master’s thesis addresses how to accelerate product design processes by utilizing design systems and applying the modular design approach. My minor was in International Design Business Management (IDBM) and major in New Media Design and Production (Media Lab).

Before starting my master studies at Aalto, I studied Graphic Design and Art Direction at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan and Digital Communications at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.

Design philosophy

My design process and its different phases

My design philosophy is simple; “always remember to whom you are designing for.” And it’s not just that. I always try to create modern solutions that last the test of time and won’t require a vast amount of resources—this is why my motivation and reason why I love to use open source solutions and a modular design approach. Usually, my design process has four essential steps; (1) conceptual design, (2) visual design, (3) a production phase, and finally (4) a beta stage during which I double-check that everything works as designed before “going live.”

I’m always up to further polish my workflows, and hence, I’d be happy to hear what your steps of a design process are—just shoot me a message and let’s have a chat!
